Daily Phelps Workout Routine

A lot of people have missed their steps when they have heard an Olympic champion say all he has been doing is eat, sleep and swim. Its not always you find someone dedicating his life to a narrowed set of activities every single day just to be the best in what he is doing. Well, there is Michael Phelps for that, considerably an Olympic success, having won gold medals for both consecutive Athens and Beijing games, and beating the world records, as well as American records, accordingly.
So how does a Michael Phelps go about a daily workout routine? That is six hours of training daily, six times a week. He does this without a miss, and even doing a regular training even if his training days fall on holidays as Christmas. That is right, he lives up to the definition of doing them without a miss. Generally that six of hours of training a day will be equivalent to eight miles of swimming. That is really hard, especially since swimming is considered to be among the most intensive workout, and you cant survive on swimming skills alone.
Listing it down, strength and power in the arms and feet are needed to perform those strokes. If youd want to do the winning butterfly or freestyle stroke of Michael Phelps, then youll be sure to need that muscle endurance and flexibility. If you place an ordinary swimmer to a Michael Phelps, youll find twelve powerful strokes to about eight, respectively.
In order to achieve this strong and powerful arms and feet, Michael Phelps performs strength trainings about three hours each week, with the maintenance and work out for those body muscles. He accordingly works out on his cardiovascular for his conditioning.
Thats Michael Phelps, the mighty swimming machine, as many regard him. But youll be surprised to learn that he is not as powerful on land, which is why he relies on stationary equipment as stationary bikes to avoid straining or injuring his knees.
If you think this is a lot of work, then youve got it right at the target. It is a lot of that with that patience and dedication. For some athletes, they think its near suicidal, but this multi-faceted and strength building workout has made him the swimming champion that he is ” a swimming machine, as regarded by a lot of people. Its a good thing though that he get two daily massages in his workout, along with ice baths to get his body balanced with that strenuous workout.
